At the same time, a woman in a dark gray Ford pickup truck was making a left turn in the intersection. According to bystanders and dashcam video provided by eye-witnesses, the white Lexus sedan entered the intersection speeding, and crashed into the dark gray Ford pickup truck. Both cars are reported to have spun completely out of control from the impact, and slammed into a traffic pole that was behind the vehicles. The dark gray Ford pickup truck ignited from underneath, and started a fiery blaze. The truck ultimately landed on the sidewalk nearby, aflame, and the sedan collided with a wall outside of a CVS pharmacy parking lot. Bystander Seth Gurlal said of the accident that he witnessed, “I saw in my rearview mirror that was coming so fast, they’re going to hit somebody… They had no regard for anybody.”

The unfortunate alleged drunk driving accident is said to have occurred at around 10:45 a.m. on Barstow Avenue between Sunnyside and Fowler avenues in Clovis. At that time, a male motorcycle rider, who has also not been identified yet, collided with the allegedly drunk driver’s SUV. There were no other occupants in the SUV, other than the driver. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal accident. Officers involved in the investigation of the terrible and fatal alleged drunk driving car accident indicated that the accident did not involve any students who attend Clovis High School, which is located near to where the fatal accident occurred. The family of the victim and a community waits for answers as the investigation into the alleged drunk driving fatal car accident unfolds.

According to local news reports, at around 3:40 p.m. on Monday, California Highway Patrol officials received calls about a wrong-way crash that had occurred near the Highway 85 and Highway 87 interchange. The crash involved a Toyota Tacoma truck that investigators believe traveled down Highway 85 northbound in the wrong direction for several miles before crashing at the interchange. As a result of the crash, a 47-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy were killed. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, a 39-year-old man from Florida, was transported to the hospital with “major injuries.” Sadly, the young boy had just started school and, according to his family, was enjoying the new school year so far. Reports indicate that a check of the driver’s name came back with records in Florida including traffic infractions and one misdemeanor for careless driving. The investigation into the terrible accident is ongoing, and officials still do not know exactly what caused the wrong-way accident or why it happened.

According to local news reports, KTLA 5, the horrific and serious truck accident occurred on Thursday, June 20, at around 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Highway 395 and Calleja Road in Adelanto, San Bernardino County. Local law enforcement authorities state that several people, in addition to the 5-year-old girl, were injured in the trucking accident, which, ultimately, involved a total of six vehicles and the semi-truck. The 5-year-old girl, who has been identified by her family members as Dalilah Coleman, was rushed to the hospital by airlift for emergency medical treatment and remains fighting for her life. Young Delilah suffered a fractured skull, broken leg, and other injuries as a result of the truck accident, and is now being treated at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital.

According to local news reports, ABC 7, a six-vehicle motor vehicle collision occurred on the 5 Freeway near the Las Pulgas Road onramp, approximately 10 miles north of Oceanside, California, and close to Camp Pendleton, at around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. Law enforcement authorities believe that the events that triggered the chain-reaction-like accident all began with a Jeep that veered off of the 5 Freeway while traveling southbound and hit a guardrail. The Jeep became disabled on the 5 Freeway, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van collided with the Jeep and then also became disabled on the freeway. Four motorcyclists, including the two Navy sailors, were traveling behind the Sprinter van and crashed into the Jeep and Sprinter van. The motorcycles then became ignited as they caught on fire. Three of the four motorcycle riders were killed in the fiery collision, two of which were members of the Navy said to be stationed in San Diego. The multi-vehicle fatal collision is still under investigation, and serves to demonstrate just how dangerous motorcycle accidents can be, especially when traveling at speed and with larger vehicles and obstacles on the road.
