Two-Vehicle Collision in Santa Clarita Slows Commuter Traffic, Raises Questions about When to Seek Medical Treatment After Car Accidents in Santa Clarita

AccidentWitness

When a person heads out for their daily commute in Santa Clarita, the last thing they likely think about is that they will be in a nasty car accident that will not only prevent them from getting to work, but that also could seriously injure them. Indeed, with things on their minds such as presentations to the boss, what to eat for lunch, who is picking up the kids, and what to do after work, many Santa Clarita drivers and residents are just hoping to get out the door on time. However, the commute time is a time of heavy traffic flow and morning distractions, and can be an especially dangerous time for drivers on the road. A two-vehicle accident in Santa Clarita this week demonstrates this very point.

On Tuesday, April 1, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a two-car accident in Santa Clarita, at the intersection of McBean Parkway and Fairview Drive. One person was seen being treated by a medical team in the sidewalk area of the intersection, however no one was transported to the hospital. The accident was reported by Howard Tieu, the spokesperson for the Fire Department, to have occurred around 8:00 a.m. in the morning, as first responders were dispatched at 8:02 and the scene closed at 8:16. Although details of how the accident happened and who was involved were sparse at the time of the most recent reports on the accident, Tieu noted that the vehicles involved were a grey SUV and a grey sedan. The grey SUV had front-side damage, and the grey sedan had front-end damage, after the accident. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing and it remains to be seen exactly what happened or if any further action will be taken in the case.

When a Car Accident Happens, Should You Seek Medical Treatment?

One of the questions that the recent car accident in Santa Clarita raises is whether Santa Clarita car accident victims should seek medical treatment after a car accident occurs, even if they perhaps do not initially think that they are injured. The answer is that it is a good idea to seek medical treatment after a car accident occurs, even if you do not suspect that you are seriously injured. Sometimes injuries do not immediately present with visible or noticeable symptoms after a car accident. As such, you may further injure yourself if you are not aware of your car accident injuries. In addition, if you were injured due to the negligence of the other driver, and you wish to bring a lawsuit for compensation for your injuries and losses, it is important to know the extent of your injuries, and to have the medical records confirming it. Consulting with an experienced Santa Clarita personal injury lawyer is also a good idea. A Santa Clarita personal injury lawyer can advise you as to your rights and options under the law, and what to do next in your case.
