Arman is said to have remained calm and ultimately tackled Chand to the ground, at which point other gym patrons rushed to his assistance to subdue Chand. However, in the attack, Chand stabbed Arman several times. Some reports indicate that the attack actually started in the parking lot. Arman was taken to the hospital with several stab wounds to his upper body, and he was covered in blood. Chand was taken to the Robert Presley Detention Center and was charged with the crime of attempted murder.
